Modal Auxiliaries

This is conversation on telephone. Conversation use Modal Auxiliaries such as may I, could I, or can I.

1. A: Hello?
    B: Hello, Is Dick There?
    A: Yes, He is.
    B: Can I talk to him?
    A: Just a minute. I'll get him.

2. A: Hello. Dean Black's office.
    B: Could I please speak to Dean Black?
    A: May I ask who is calling?
    B: Susan Abbott
    A: Just a moment, Ms, Abbott. I'll connect you.

3.A: Hello?

   B: Hi. This is Bob. Could I please talk to Steve?

   A: Sure. Hang on

4. A: Good afternoon. Dr. Anderson’s office, May I help you?

    B: Yes. I’d like to make an appointment with Dr. Anderson.

    A: Fine. Is Friday morning at ten all right?

    B: Yes. Thank you.

    A: Your name?

5. A: Hello?

    B: Hello. Can I speak to Emily?

    A: She’s not here right now. May I take a message?

    B: No Thanks. I’ll call later.

6. A: Hello?

    B: Hello. Could I talk to Mary?

    A: She’s not here right now.

    B: Oh. May I leava a message?

    A: Certainly. Just a minute. I have to get a pen.

This is example for modal Auxiliaries such as May, Could and Can.

STUDENT A: May I please see your dictionary for a minute?
STUDENT B: Of course. Take it
STUDENT A: Thanks.

ANISA: Could I please use your pen for a minute?
MARIO: I'm sorry, But, I can't.
ANISA: Okay, Thanks

GUIDI: Can I please borrow your calculator?
CHIKA: Yes, Of course.
GUIDI: Thank you

Mr. X: May I please see your camera for a minute?
Ms. Y: Sure
Mr. X: Thanks

STUDENT A: Could I please see it ?
STUDENT B: I'm sorry. But, I'm using it.
STUDENT A: Okay, Thanks

Adverbs

1. Adverb of Manner
    Adverbs of manner tell us how something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb or after the object.
2. Adverb of place
    Adverbs of place tell us where something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb or after the object
3. Adverb of Time
   Adverbs of place tell us when something happens. They are usually placed after the main verb or after the object
4. Adverb of Degree
    Adverbs of degree tell us about the intensity or degree of an action, an adjective or another adverb.
5. Adverb of frequency
    Adverb of frequency tell us about frequency activity 

Example Sentence Use Adverb

1. Hard

        Every day He always practices hard for his dream

2. Badly

        He fall badly from building.

3. Into

        The money he have is putting into safe-deposit box.

4. gently

       She cares gently her baby.

5. Absolutely

     Absolutely, he will come here on time

Task in April (Simple Past and Progressive Past)

3. Were they sleeping when I went? Yes, They were

Example Preposition

Word preposition such along  and across. The following below is example using preposition along and across.

Along

• She walks alone along the beach every morning.
• He looking for his son along this street.

Across

• Tony tries to across  the river in the worst rain.
• They across the street without using warm cloth.

Task in March (Simple Present and Present Progressive)

This task explain using simple present and present progressive sentence. The Blue font is simple present tense. And The red font is present progressive sentence.

1. Her mom is sick. She always goes to hospital every morning. And now she is talking with her mom.
2. Every saturday he goes to mall. Honestly, he is not working at the mall today.
3. Rina always plays with Donny together every sunday morning. But, Rina is going to holiday now.
4. Everyday Bayu works hard in his office. And now Bayu is sleeping on bed's hospital.
5. Every Morning she always visits to Tommy. Sadly, she is not talking to Tommy anymore.
6. In the kitchen, her mom always makes breakfast to her. But, now her mom is visiting her father in jail.
7. Spongebob and Patrick always play together in the Jelly Field. And now they are catching jelly fish.
8. Although they always work together in bank. They are not talking each other until now.
9. She always sits beside Tono. Sadly, she is sitting with another guy.
10. He always does his task while his friend is watching TV.
